MOTOROLA instructions on how to input ringtone:

When inputting the ringtone codes onto your phone you will see a number, usually "4", before the notes. This number denotes the speed of the music, "1" being the slowest and "4" obviously the fastest.

To enable the phone to read the notes correctly a space must be left between each inputted note e.g. "C2 D2 C+2".

Each music tone can have a maximum of 35 notes and therefore somewhat limiting the phone slightly.

To get around this and if the tones are sounding rather slow then try removing the R2 note as this is just a pause note for the music.

To enter notes, use the keypads, "A-G", "R"=Rest, followed by a "#" if the note is a sharp.

Please note that any flat note e.g. B flat is actually inputted as an "#" i.e. "A #".

To change the note to a higher octave input "+" and for a lower one use "-".

Each note is approximately a quarter note which sounds for 1 beat. This can be changed by placing any number between "1-8" after the note to either increase or decrease the length the note sounds.

On some phones you may need to delete the ringtone note by note.

If you have to follow this procedure make sure that you leave the number "4" in otherwise you will have to start all over again.
